Christmas Challenge

I was so excited when I made these seven semi-Scrappy Backgrounds out in Ohio at the beginning of the month.  When I got back to Jersey, I made the two cards.  I don't like them and I'm not sure why.  That's why I stopped working on them.  NOW, it's almost the end of the month and I don't have my five done... :(  Any thoughts you can share would be greatly appreciated...

  1. I think they are beautiful, they look to me like they just need a sentiment!!!

  2. I agree with Sherry. They are gorgeous! I would just add a sentiment and send them off. Someone will surely be happy to receive these!

  3. Cindy, I think the center square is calling for a sentiment or focal point embellishment (maybe a punched tree or something like that) because the eye is so clearly drawn there by the design. I like what you did with the border punches and ribbons at the bottom.

  4. The eye is drawn to the center piece. A pretty punched snowflake or brad would look nice

  6. They are beautiful! I do think the center needs something, off set from the rest of the design.

  7. The patterns and colors in these are just beautiful Cindy. Like the other comments I think the issue may be that they are missing a single, strong focal point, so maybe playing around with adding a sentiment or another element that could be a focal point would help. :)

  8. I would probably put a sentiment or embellie on one of the sides. I love cora's idea of a snowflake. They are kinda like a quilt. Very pretty.
